“Oh, what can ail thee, knight-at-arms, Alone and palely loitering? The sedge has withered from the lake, And no birds sing”.

This short work for soprano, two clarinets, vola, cello and bass, was written in 1996 for The Composers Ensemble and soprano Mary Wiegold. It sets the classic poem by John Keats . Duration ca. 6 minutes
