“… and when you’re resting safely by my side, then I shall murder you!”
This is, like Fortunato’s Journey, another operatic extract, this time from Judith. It was written for Stina Tornberg to perform at the Silver Jubilee of Sweden’s Vadstena Academy in Stockholm, where it was premiered by the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra under Esa Pekka Salonen. Its UK premiere in Glasgow was by Virgina Kerr and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra in 1991. Duration around 7 minutes.
