Every Day You Play

Cantata for soprano and piano

“You are like nobody since I love you. Let me spread you out among yellow garlands. Who writes your name in letters of smoke among the stars of the south? Oh, let me remember you as you were before you existed!”

This “cantata” for soprano and piano was commissioned by The Northlands Festival in 1995.  It sets “Juegas todos los dias” from “Twenty love Poems” of 1924, by Pablo Neruda and lasts about 8 minutes.
